These portraits were meant to continue my exploration of the role of identity crisis during the pre-pubescent/adolescent period when a girl longs to be more of a woman and less of a girl. You can see in their eyes the complexities that these young women face in their daily lives, which is revealed in each portrait as they are extremely intense. This is apparent even with an acquired identity, because of how profound this period is in their life is.
